The mission of the library is to provide a place for people of all ages to access information to satisfy their informational and lifelong learning needs and interests. Our vision is to serve as a lifelong learning center.

Although Vicksburg District Library serves more than 12,000 patrons, our real focus is on creating individual encounters with people in the community. We work to have singular interactions and respond to the requests of individual citizens.

Our Awesome Services!
Entertainment Galore!	All staff are happy to assist with requests for help finding entertainment. We stock the latest best-selling books, new movie releases, and new music releases.
Programs & Socials	Our Youth Services Librarian and our Circulation and Reference Librarian create a range of social programs for youth and adults.
Research Assistance	Our staff and I are happy to assist with historical, academic, or professional research needs. Some of those may include genealogical and local history searches, connecting patrons with job sites, or finding small-business resources online.
Community Spaces & Tech	The Vicksburg District Library also offers community spaces that patrons can reserve for events, free WiFi, and eight public access computers connected to the internet.
