His crippling addiction was deeply rooted in his fear of the insect-like aliens… We witness Jimmy’s continual spiral into desperation, and yet, a pivotal event forces him to become the hero. This story vividly depicts self-destruction, self-sacrifice, and redemption. We, as the readers, grow to empathize with Jimmy. Even as he makes more and more drug-induced bad decisions, he was still relatable. Stinger has everything, and is an amazing, thrilling read.
