What’s with the whole "other" thing?
Glad you asked. Design has become commoditized and that’s a problem for companies and their end-users. Yes, there is a process & science to design, but it should also be highly collaborative and unique to each problem. Big agencies don’t have the speed needed to empower fast-moving organizations, and Design-as-a-Service agencies treat your needs as just a long list of tasks. You deserve a focused partner who works to deeply understand your problems, users, and business needs, resulting in high quality designs without the wait. We couldn’t find anyone else trying to do what we we're doing. So instead of selecting one of the default choices on the form, we wanted you to select Other and get exactly what you need.
How many hours a week do we get?
Not to be all lawyer-y, but it depends. We work quickly without sacrificing quality. So while a simple request may take more junior designers 10 hours to complete, it takes us much less. What you’re really asking is, “Will my work get done and done well?” The answer to that will always be “yes.”
Are you a “design subscription”?
Many design subscriptions try to box you in to a certain number of tasks-at-a-time and a strict no meetings policy. Those are great for basic marketing needs but less conducive to strong product, UX, and brand partnerships. We offer a similar retainer model but are more hands-on, proactively checking in to pause or plan ahead if work slows down.
Can you provide on-going support?
For sure! Most of the clients we've partnered with stay on for the longterm. Some for over a year. Those are our favorite types of partnerships because we really get to understand their users & business mission, which ultimately leads to better outcomes, simplified flows, and higher impact.
What about payment, refunds, etc?
We'll send a payment link via Stripe for the agreed upon amount. Some plans can pay 50% up front, some pay 100% up front. If a subscription or retainer model is agreed upon, you will be automatically charged on the same date every month. You're able to make changes to your plan at any time via Stripe's plan management link. We work with you to exceed epectations and offer refunds if we fall short.
How do y'all take your coffee?
Most mornings I do the whole ritual with my trusted Chemex to create a cup of coffee any snob would approve of. However, I'm just as happy sipping the motor oil from Waffle House. Both are special experiences.

Let’s just say I invested in a premium espresso machine and I even have a little mirror to check flow rate. The down side is I can’t get a latte from a coffee shop without noticing how they messed it up.
