While still made of aluminium, the Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 A-RGB boasts a radiator with a more premium feel than most. It possesses a satisfying heft, and the boxier design feels pleasant in the hands. In other words its 38 mm thickness is very evident, since it deviates from the more standard 27 mm thickness found on other AIOs. Considering the uplift in surface area this should result in improved cooling performance. Much like the last Liquid Freezer III unit I reviewed, the FPI (fins-per-inch) holds at 15, as opposed to the more prototypical 20-21. Additionally, the fittings are distinct, featuring indentations that capture light, and make them standout compared to the more usual smooth offerings.
The setup of the pump and copper cold plate is quite distinct from typical designs. The pump has been moved to make space for a larger VRM fan, which enhances airflow to nearby components. It slides into position effortlessly and is held by magnets. Arctic has opted for swivel fittings on the pump, making it easier to position the tubing precisely. Once everything is connected and organized with cable sleeving, the pump housing can be described as both aesthetically pleasing and clean. The copper cold plate is a bit smaller than most contemporary designs. But that has not been detrimental to performance on past offerings, it is also slightly convex with subtle machining marks.
The fans for the radiator are from Arctic's P12 Pro A-RGB lineup and have an RPM range of 600-3000 and a max CFM rating of 77. The VRM fan roughly measures out to 50 mm, with no listed CFM rating. However, the RPM range of 400-2500 RPM is exceptionally wide as well. Pair that with a PWM pump rated for 800-2800 RPM, and you have an AIO that should be essentially silent at idle or low loads, however the radiator fans ability to spin up to 3000 RPM means max noise output in extreme situations will likely be quite high.
