What Happens When Art Seeks a Place to Live? When art searches for a place to call home, it often crashes into the inaccessibility of spaces that should host it. These spaces, when not outright inaccessible, shove the artistic product into a context of top-down constraints and limitations, aimed at minimizing conflict by diluting or annihilating the messages within the work. This is done so the art can be neatly slotted into an art-economic circuit geared towards consumption.
This setup permeates both conventional exhibition spaces and educational environments, fragmenting what should be a cohesive social fabric and hindering cross-collaboration among artists. These intertwined effects culminate in the distinction between "Series A" and "Series B" art, fostering elitism and competition.
The CSA Sisma as a liberated and self-managed space is a place of possibilities! Collective paths born and developed autonomously, finding expression beyond the limits and canons of the ordinary.
Spazi Impossibili was born as a journey where the autonomy of art finds a chance to exist through exhibitions, workshops, self-productions, and social gatherings. The sharing of the artistic journey, from its very conception, allows for a symbiosis of multiple visions and artistic disciplines.

How Do I Participate in the Exhibition?Moving according to the principles of Autonomy and Self-Management also means jointly taking care of all aspects that make up the event: from the organization of the exhibition to the production of the works that will compose it.
The meaning of developing a bottom-up and horizontal path lies in the very act of doing it together, through the exchange of ideas and knowledge, sharing one's time and energy, and collectively developing the theme of "Spazi Impossibili".
Preparatory Assemblies are held every Wednesday at 7:00 PM at CSA Sisma (Via V. Alfieri 8, Macerata) and will end on Wednesday, March 26th. From that date onwards, the exhibition setup phase will begin.
How Do I Participate in the Workshops? The workshops, which will take place on April 11th, will be an opportunity to work together on the theme of impossible spaces. A moment for the creation and transmission of horizontal techniques and knowledge, where the concepts of Autonomy and Self-Management are applied to the production of works that will complete the setup of CSA Sisma's spaces during the event.
Workshops, in this sense, are a further opportunity to experience the space in a practical way, moving collectively within the creative path, materially producing the artwork on-site.
