The official Sonic website from Japan, "Sonic Channel," created by Sega's Japanese staff, is celebrating its 20th anniversary and has received a major update in honor of this event.

The site has new sections (unified event feed from games, fan card creation) and updated old ones (character biographies, game chronology, downloads section). The publication of monthly columns, franchise news, and "behind-the-scenes" articles will continue in the same format.

The website's editorial staff thanks the audience for their support and hopes that the new format will help both newcomers and die-hard fans learn everything important about Sonic.

In recent years, the Sonic Channel website has become a source of not only beautiful desktop wallpapers but also various stories from the world of Sonic, which attract with the authors' attitude towards the lore or the level of interaction with the community. In 2023, the site's editorial staff asked to refrain from completely copying downloadable files in order not to leave aside the work of people involved in supporting the site, working with the fandom, and creating unique materials – some fan sites supported this request.
