About Me

I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Tübingen. My research focuses on information retrieval, including basic research into retrieval models, query processing, evaluation, and applications to health and medicine.

Previously, I was an Alexander von Humboldt research fellow in the Temirgroup at Leipzig University. Before that, I was a postdoctoral research fellow in the ielabgroup at The University of Queensland, where I also completed my PhD.

Invited Workshop at Information Retrieval Meeting 2024
I ran a workshop at the IQWiG Information Retrieval Meeting 2024 about using APIs for evidence identification. More and more APIs (application programming interfaces) are used as programmatic interfaces for certain databases or data sets.
