It does not have script extender (OBSE), so the modern mods that make Oblivion worth playing for me (MOO, OOO) won't work. Guys are already trying to add script extender, but it won't be compatible with OBSE mods, and we may wait awhile for it to show up, and even longer for mods to take advantage of it.
Modding OG Oblivion is a challenge due to stability issues, you need to replace renderer with Vulkan, get over 4GB barrier, get rid of potato faces - all the problems that remake does not have. But it's 5.68$ at GOG, and remake won't ever get modding support that OG has.
