Reborn in Shadows

Now, Obtained Signature is torn between searching for the fragments of his lost memories and forging a new identity with this second chance at life. Once outgoing and brash, the new version of him is more quiet and solitary, avoiding people as he’s unsure if they are from his forgotten past. He suffers from frequent headaches and often excuses himself when they overwhelm him.

Obtained Signature has shifted to more humble tasks like manual labor, farming, and painting. He paints now to soothe his mind, using this creative outlet to make sense of his new existence. In an effort to conceal his identity, he has tanned his skin and dyed his once-white hair brown, with the help of Ashleigh.

Background

Once known as Illumi Cloudgleam, Obtained Signature is the former heir to the prestigious Cloudgleam estates. A series of tragic events left him with amnesia. Adopting the name "Obtained Signature" as a placeholder, he now embarks on a journey to rediscover his past and decide his future.

Though he has forgotten much of his family, he is currently under the care of his former bodyguard, Ashleigh Nightingale, and her partner, Kaze Rikiya. His current quest revolves around reconnecting with the relationships he once had, hoping to regain not only his memories but also a sense of belonging.

Illumi was the epitome of a rich heir, known for his charm and lavish lifestyle as a ladies' man. He had been groomed to inherit the Cloudgleam legacy, but his life took a turn that led to his amnesia.

If you're a former friend or associate, I treat our characters as already reintroduced to get the anonymity out of the way. So meeting him in the wild or venues doesn't change much, only the acknowledgement of the Amnesia is expected. Personally I prefer to roleplay out the reintroduction, just let me know, and we can set something up!

• Forgotten Heir: Once the heir to a powerful family, Obtained Signature has no memory of his former life. Those who recognize him might be intrigued or concerned by his changed identity. Are you someone from his past, or do you know something about the Cloudgleam family?
• A New Life of Labor: Now living a simple life, Obtained Signature spends his days working manual jobs and painting to calm his mind. Perhaps you meet him while he's doing chores or tending a farm, drawn in by his quiet presence. Maybe his paintings catch your eye.
• A Search for Connection: Obtained Signature is slowly trying to piece together lost relationships from his forgotten life. He might seek you out if he feels a familiar connection, or perhaps you are someone who knows fragments of his past.
• A Painful Past: Though his memory is gone, remnants of trauma remain. He suffers from headaches and moments of confusion. Maybe you notice his struggle and offer aid, or perhaps you push him to confront the pain he’s avoiding.

OOC vs RP

There isn't much to say here, really. I aim to create safe spaces where newcomers to RP can feel comfortable practicing and exploring. When interacting with me, I ask that you focus on Obtained Signature and how your character interacts with him. I'm 95% in-character, and the remaining 5% is for OOC check-ins, safe words, and ensuring the RP stays in a direction we're both comfortable with.

Anything about me OOC isn't really relevant to the roleplay. Just as I respect your boundaries, I ask that you respect mine.

Who you are behind the screen doesn't matter; I will only interact with you as your character.
