Hi, I'm Nick Winter. I'm focused on AI safety research. I've handed off the CodeCombat CEO role and joined Gray Swan AI, working on the most important problem.
I cofounded CodeCombat. Learn to code with CodeCombat: a coding game that teaches computer science. 20M learners and counting. It's open source!
I also cofounded Skritter. Learn Chinese or Japanese by writing characters, with stroke-level handwriting recognition and spaced repetition.
I wrote The Motivation Hacker. Check out my book about getting yourself to want to do everything you always wanted to do.
The Blog I blog about things like jailbreaking AIs, coding 120 hours in a week, getting into Y Combinator on stage, and unnecessary things.

Family I'm Chloe Fan's husband. And also the dad of Max (2015), Clark (2017), and Ruby (2021). We recently moved from San Francisco to the Pacific Northwest.
