Paper doll Party - April 14, 2025
I often say there isn’t enough fun in SL. I mean the silly one. We are far to serious in this world that’s supposed to be a place where we can do just about anything.
Salt & Pepper did a April Fools joke this year, and claimed there was a new body and head coming out on April 1. When it finally we released it turned out it was a paper doll! There was a lot of creators that had done hair, clothes and a lot of other stuff to it. And from that moment the hype was real!
Market place exploded in new stuff for the paper dolls. The creativity was blooming all over the grid.
Stella and me was two of all those who waited with excitment for the new body. And when we noticed the hype we decided to do a party only for paper dolls.
As you can see I really used all my artistic talent and made a cardboard box for it.
DJ for the evening was Jallu! He was one of them who had made his own outfit. Why he didn’t win the prize for best homemade outfit is a mystery…Instead the winner was Neevie!
In my opinion it was the shoes that was especially inventive!
Forest Rave - April 14, 2025
The Forest Rave is one of the most popular events we do on Gimle. To be honest it’s not so much WE. It’s Aqua!!
This time she had booked DJ Jen, and as always she brougt great music to the forest. Before she started there was a secret DJ. I think I’m allowed now to tell it was DJ Corbyn. He also came with great music, so I suppose next time he wont be a secret 🙂
I’m sure all of the guests already looking forward to the next one!

What you will probably not see tomorrow - March 21, 2025
You know how it is when you are at a party. Not always you look around at the place. You focus on the music and the other guests. And that’s the way it should be! Tomorrow at the opening our focus should be the music and having fun!
So this is some pictures so you know a bit about how Gimle looks now.
Gimle have always been a beautiful place. Both Lu and Aqua have done amazing work with it. This time Aqua had a picture in her head what she wanted to do. She gave us inspiration pictures to give us an idea what it should be. In my opinion it turned out better than I thought it would be.
-It looks like Norway in the summer!!! The words are Lise’s when she came today. The inspiration was a mix of Island and Bohuslän in Sweden, so now we know that combined is Norway!
Even at this one we have a small pond for fishing. It’s in the forest next to the Theater. I went by today and I could see fish jumping! So get your gear and bait ready! There will be a fishing comp soon!
The harbor is always a good spot for fishing. Or to just hang out at the cafe.
Close to the cafe Stella have her shop. She sell clothes and tattoos. Don’t have anything to wear at the opening?? Well…now you know where to get it!
The houses behind the cafe is staff housing for the members in Gimle Group. And we have a sauna!! I can promise here and now. That when sweden win Eurovision this year with “Bara bada bastu” we will have a huge party in the sauna!
We don’t only have a sauna. We have a bath house too! As you can see it’s behind the cabins that you can rent. It’s of course open for everyone to use!
Animals have always been a big part of Gimle. This time it’s sheep. We aren’t really sure how they will react to the music tomorrow. I tried to find earmuffs for sheep on Marketplace without success. So we just hope for the best.
The old theater that we found abandoned in the forest got a facelift just for the opening. We recommend that you stay outside! Some of the walls are falling down and we haven’t secured them yet!
For tomorrow we will put the DJ’s up on the roof above the entrance. Let’s just hope they have a good ensurance….
It’s only a week away now! - March 16, 2025
The opening is coming closer! The place is getting more and more ready each day. The opening will be held in the park outside the Theater.
When we talked about the opening I checked the group to see who we could have as DJ. I was surprised to see there are 36 of them! Some of them had already said they wanted to be remembered when they heard Gimle was coming back.
I have done DJ parades before. The DJs isn’t very found of it. They need more time to do a great set. I know that. But it felt nice to show how many different kinds of music we have had at Gimle during the years. So when we had found a date when all 8 in Gimle Group could be there, we decided to try and get 10 of them.
And that turned out to be one of the easiest job I have ever done. So here they are! The 10 DJs you will meet at the opening!

The Opening - March 10, 2025
We have found a date when everything will be ready for an opening! Mark you calendars on March 22!
Gimle have a history of having a lot of great DJs. During the years there have been close to 40 different ones playing at Gimle.
So it was hard to choose who to ask. I was thinking we need to have all kinds of different music a night like this. And I think we have a good mix for you! They will all be presented in a few days.
So far we know we are opening at 12PM. And since this is during confusion time, that is 20.00 swe time. And we will continue for 5 hours!

Gimle is back! - March 10, 2025
I guess we all knew this would happen sooner or later, and we have put many thoughts into this. It will not be the Gimle we all are used to. And to be honest we don’t really know yet what we will do.
One thing is decided and that’s the focus will be on theater productions. The idea came after the Winter Queens shows. We all had so much fun with that and started to think that maybe we could do this at a permanent theater.
To have a Theater we needed a land. And a land were we could have a big audience. We landed in that we needed half a sim. And we needed to be a group to run it.
We are now a group of 8 equal partners. They are presented –> here–
We all have different skills and we are all needed to make this a well functioned project. Of course there will be other events beside the theater shows. But what that will be is still to be seen. First of all we will continue to build the place, create the first theater show and get settled in our homes.
Since Aqua is the builder we all know this will be an amazing place. There will be a place for gatherings and fishing of course. When that’s done you are ALL welcome!! All day, every day!
The Arrival of The Winter Queens - February 12, 2025

We are closing - August 16, 2024
It’s with deep sorrow we have to announce that Gimle is closing. Sometimes life happens and we have to adjust to that.
To run a venue like Gimle you need a lot of energy and time. Sometimes brains have been boiling when we have tried to come up with new ideas. And to build a place that is welcoming and beautiful takes hours and more hours. To make events and not be able to be there ourselves, well…then you have to figure out who you do the events for.
We met in RL last week and planned for the opening after the summer. At the same time we had the staff party of the year, so you can imagine all the great ideas we came up with…
After a few days we had another meeting, asking ourselves, do we have the time and energy to do this? And the answer was easy. If we want to make Gimle the amazing place it has been, we must be able to give it all in the project. And we just can’t do that at the moment.
We will cry barrels of tears. And we will miss all the positive words from DJs, artists and guests. There have been sooo many laughs during these 2 years. (I had to check that it was only 2 years, cause it felt like much longer)…
Gimle have had four different shapes during those years. The first three made by Lu. And the third one by Aqua (mostly) me and Vira
The first Gimle opened on September 16 2022. It all came out of my thoughts – what can I create from what I know I’m good at? And it turned out really well, if I may say so myself. Without Stella I wouldn’t have managed to run the events. And without Lu there wouldn’t have been the nice looking place it was.
I still remember the feeling when we opened the pub for the first time. It was sooo exciting to see that it worked, people was coming. I’m so happy I got to share that with Stella.
This is just a few pictures of what happened those months.
In the beginning of 2023 it was time to rebuild everything. Not my idea I may add… But it turned out even better when it was done. The Café in the harbor was a success. All cred for that to Wiz and the other baristas.
We had the coolest club in SL! that was made by Lu. I had thoughts for that club that didn’t really worked. But they are still in my mind, and some day I will try again.
After the summer of 2023 I was almost giving up Gimle. It felt like I had prooved what I wanted to do. There was so many people involved. At the most there was 12 persons in the staff! And there was 7 skyboxes that was rented all the time. It was like a small business that could have gone on forever. But…. just to maintain something as it is really isn’t my thing.
So when Lu asked if it was time to do something together, that sounded exactly what I needed to get new energy. Haave was a beautiful place. Kate was involved laying her magic hand over it.
We did a memorable Halloween party amongst other fun events. For the first time there was no pub. Lise ran The Club and I could spend my time creating the bigger events.
We had the Winter Café opened every day in December with different hosts. Anna came up with the idea of having a gathering during the Christmas days. So for three days Gimle was opened for everyone that wanted company. (I’m pretty sure someone stole those pictures cause I can’t find them)
After a while I shared the parcel with Aqua. She made an amazing forest. And my brain started to work. What if I should invite some others to run Gimle?
Of course I wanted the best ones.Aqua was almost already a part of Gimle so I shared the idea with her and she said – Let’s go!So I asked Vira one evening. She said -Let me think about it for a few days. 5 minutes later she came back and said – I’ll do it!!And Team Gimle ♥ was borned.
It have been the most fun period in the history of Gimle. So many artists on the stage, so many great DJs in the pub and the Rave Forest. We have danced in Africa, Talked music with Dan and Fuzzy, created an amazing Easter Party with witches disappearing to Blåkulla, done a Traffic Light party and had the Gimle Sportfish Masters every week, etc etc…It’s impossible to count how many events we have done since the start 2022. But roughly counted it must be more than 200.
As we all say… numbers don’t count, the main thing is that the guests have a fun time. BUT! I have to tell you that the last year Gimle have had almost 1000 unique visitors!…Even if we don’t have the time to continue right now. We still haven’t giving up the thought to come back. In what way we don’t know yet. But first we have to prioritize other things in life.
We are not disappearing from SL, so it’s not a goodbye!! We WILL meet.

Summer at Gimle! - June 11, 2024
Summer has come to Gimle! We do all events outside. Many of them on the field of flowers.
Gimle will be open all summer! The Sunday Café is closed, instead we open The Summer Cafe! We have planned for Tuesdays and Thursdays 1-3AM, every week, so far.
We already had a “Let’s talk music” at the cafe. That time with Dan. We are planning for more and with others talking about their music.
Of course there will be live artists on stage! And on every other Thursday we have Winter as usual.
A big part of Gimle are the DJs. This summer they play at the Filed of Flowers. There will be some new faces and new music for you. Be sure to come and listen and tell us what you think. We are also planning for an evening with DJ auditions. We get questions from DJs if they can come and play, and we want to listen to them before we do a booking. So this is a way to do that, and for you to make us decide.
The plan for the summer is to do Thursdays (every week) Tuesdays OR Saturdays with som kind of music. If it’s Tuesday or Saturday one week, depends on our work scheduels, vacations, summer guests, travels and what more can happen during a summer. Thank god! we are three that can take turns in running our events. Cause at least one of us will always be there.
The fishing competition will be running on Wednesdays all summer!
And… sometimes one of us come up with a totally brilliant ide, that just have to be done!! Not revealing any name who that can be…So… how will you know when there is something happening at Gimle?? Our Discord and Indoor group ~~Gimle~~ are the best ways. Everything is announced there.
We have a FB side and ads on this page.New from yesterday is the info wall on the pub.The calendar is the one we use when we plan for events. If it say only DJ – Host we have something planned just not confirmed yet. It updates itself every hour.
Above the door are pictures with links to all our info channels. Or…you can do as a man I know, no name this time either, IM me and ask… is there anything at Gimle tonight? 😂
I guess most of you know why we had to cancel Gimle Spring Festival. We had soo looking forward to it and so did the DJs and artists we had booked.It was not my proudest moment when I was playing Pokemon Go, looking too much in the phone, stumbled and fell so bad my shoulder was dislocated. When it was back on place and the pain was under control, I couldn’t do anything else than laugh!Of course Vira and Aqua could have done it without me, it was not a question about that. It was me that didn’t want to miss it! And what we do we do it together.When summer is over and we spend more time indoors, we will have the festival!! That you can be sure of! So the tents you purchased for this one were not wasted!And I promise I will stay on both feets this time 😊
