RAW is a sonic homage to the bygone era of Delhi's nightlife that I once knew. Decades ago, I visited some of these clubs where after 2 AM, the music would transform into a realm of deep, dark, and minimalist soundscapes.
At first, this wasn't my type of music. But as I stood amidst the swaying bodies of my fellow clubbers, their eyes closed in a trance-like state, I began to truly appreciate its allure. It was not about the melody, but rather the hypnotic grooves, the thumping basslines, and the mesmerizing, stripped-down progressions that slowly crept into the very depths of your being in those late-night hours.
This album is my attempt to capture the essence of that bygone era, to bottle the raw, visceral energy that pulsed through those dance floors.
I invite you to close your eyes, surrender to the rhythm, and let RAW transport you to those nights when we all beat to a different drum.
