Unsee Juice is a slang expression used by internet users after seeing something disgusting or learning something disturbing online. Upon seeing the cursed media, the phrase is typically used as a catchphrase in replies and comments below. It can also be seen in the form of various reaction images where the creator of the meme sips the juice in an attempt to remove their memory of it. Unsee Juice shares many similarities to the term Eye Bleach.
This expression appears online as early as 2018, though the exact origins are unknown. On September 11th, 2018, an early example can be seen in a tweet from Twitter[1] user OatsAreGood. The tweet (seen below) uses the “Big Sip Bird” template in the form of an object labeling meme as a reply to a disturbing headline, receiving over 1,000 likes.

On November 13th, 2018, Imgur[2] user brycanthe then uploaded the reaction image to the site under the title, “Unsee Juice,” receiving nearly 2,500 views.
As a simple catchphrase, Redditor[3] ruggedburn can be seen using the term in the title of their post (shown below) to the r/BlackPeopleTwitter sub, where it was upvoted over 2,300 times and commented on 79 times.

On June 4th, 2019, Twitter[4] user MisfitsGG used the reaction as a reply to an above tweet (seen below), receiving 473 likes.

On October 23rd, 2019, the subreddit r/unseejuice[5] was created on the site specifically for such content, which has the description, “Stuff you wish you had never seen, and the polar opposite of r/Eyebleach.”
Redditor[6] CommunistTomato posted another example of the reaction image on December 31st, 2019, to the r/dankmemes sub. The meme (shown below) received over 23,000 upvotes and 186 comments.

On February 12th, 2020, a similar example was posted to r/dankmemes by Redditor[7] Shotz4321, receiving over 34,000 upvotes, 533 comments and a couple of Reddit awards.

On May 14th, 2020, the term was added to Urban Dictionary[8] by user BRUHMOMENT694201337 (seen below) under the definition, “When something is so cursed you drink this.”
