I had the pleasure of interviewing award-winning author R.S. Twells for FVRL’s ReadRadio Podcast. Her series, The Agent Bennet Saga, has captivated readers since the release of the first book, The Field Agent, in 2021. The series currently includes three books, with a fourth set for release in Spring 2026.

I have a bit of a controversial opinion: I love reading so-called “trashy” novels. For as long as I can remember, I’ve read primarily for escapism. I love sinking into a fast-paced, exciting story — something I can get lost in. Give me strong characters, engaging plots and imaginative settings, and I’m hooked.

Cancer can affect anyone. About half of British Columbians will receive a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, and it’s the leading cause of death in our province. The good news is that mortality rates have steadily decreased over the last 20 years. While treatment options have improved, the most important advances are related to prevention and screening efforts.
