Helping individuals and communities move from domestic abuse to the freedom!
Find Out HowI'm Joanna, The DV Doula
I describe myself as a "doula" because I educate and empower individuals to break cycles of abuse for themselves and for future generations. It can be a painful, often dangerous, process, but I provide guidance and resources along the way toward a healthy future.
I created The DV Doula to leverage my unique set of training, expertise, and experiences; minister to religious survivors of domestic violence; and equip religious communities to minister to survivors in a trauma-informed, survivor-focused, and compassionate manner.

Schedule TrainingI firmly believe that every individual radiates the Image of God and has immeasurable, inherent, and indelible worth and value.
Domestic violence is an affront to God's design for relationships and an individual's sense of self, but many Christian resources are ill-equipped to minister to domestic violence survivors in a compassionate and trauma-informed way.
My goal is for survivors of abuse to live empowered and unencumbered lives, for "it is for freedom that Christ set us free."
