| Aspect | Description |
|---|---|
| Historically accurate | Become a weapons master |
| Fight your way | Expanded arsenal |
| Weapon care is critical | Improved immersion |
Combat that is true to history, immersive, and gives you the freedom to fight your way—victory depends on your skill and dedication. Success relies on your mastery, not luck. You’ll need to exploit enemy weaknesses, master parries, and chain deadly combos.
Choose brute force with maces, finesse with swords, or brutal hand-to-hand combat. Each style comes with its own unique moves and combos.
In addition to classic swords and bows, KCD: II introduces crossbows and primitive firearms - powerful but tricky to maintain.

Keep your gear well-maintained. Break a sword, and it's gone. Let a firearm fail, and it could explode in your hands.
Combat animations are sharper, with weapons feeling more distinct, thanks to specialised motion capture.

Founded after the discovery of silver ore deposits in the area, the city quickly became wealthy and was a trade and economic centre of the region.

Built around 1380 between two basalt rock formations of a long-extinct volcano. The castle derived its name from the shape of the rock, which resembled the ruins of a collapsed castle.

A complex system of sandstone rock formations, many paths wind through the rocks with caves underneath them that historically provided refuge for outcasts and exiles.

Serene and peaceful, but full of secrets. Experience the beauty of the natural world as you explore largely untouched woodlands and forests teeming with wildlife in Medieval Bohemia.

Henry
A blacksmith's son who lost his parents when Sigismund's forces raided his home village of Skalitz. Henry becomes a key member of the resistance and he embarks on a journey motivated by revenge and a desire for adventure (and his love of a good stew). Thrown into the chaos of war, Henry must now choose between doing what's right and what's necessary to stop the invading forces and protect his friends.

Hans
Hans is a young Bohemian nobleman and Henry's friend from the previous game. He is known for his pompous yet lively and carefree personality, as well as his exceptional archery skills. Hans is based on a real historical figure of the same name, a hereditary lord of the town of Rattay. After the death of his parents, the Lords of Leipa became his guardians.

Godwin
Father Godwin, one of the most memorable characters from the previous title, is a fictional, debauched village priest and the black sheep of a noble family. Beneath his cassock lies the soul of a scarred warrior. We can use his words as well as he can fight with swords.

Markvart
Markvart, a central villain in the previous title, was responsible for the death of Henry's parents during the raid on Skalitz. Based on a real historical figure of the same name, he was a German noble. As the leader of the Cuman and Prague armies serving Sigismund, he plays a pivotal role in advancing Sigismund's conquest.
