FAQ

Question Answer
What types of projects do you specialize in? Being almost 20 years on market we’ve worked with businesses of all sizes. Whether it’s a simple corporate website or a scalable platform for millions of users, among them: Functional websites for business, Complex platforms and web applications. Extensive experience integrating environments with CRM, ERP, external systems and tools. E-commerce solutions including e-shops based on opensource solutions like WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento, PrestaShop, custom e-commerce platforms or custom enterprise solutions). iGaming websites, platforms and systems, including online casinos, betting platforms, and slot games.
How does cooperation flow look like We start with discovery phase by understanding your business goals, project requirements, and target and goals of the product. Once we’ve defined the scope and provided tailored recommendations for the best technical and creative solutions as well as cost estimates we proceed with the contact. The contact has mostly general provisions that are common on market so this step is usually smooth. Then we initiate the project and perform kick-off meeting where you meet the team, we confirm communication and reporting methods and agree on the plan or timeline.
How involved do I need to be in the project? Client involvement is typically necessary in any project because the client knows their business best. However, the level of involvement during the project can vary depending on the cooperation model. In iterative models like Time & Material, there might be active participation in sprint reviews and planning. In the Waterfall approach, most effort may be required at the initial stage to confirm the project’s goals and scope. Nevertheless, there will still be ongoing status updates on progress, and feedback will be needed
What’s the difference between Time & Material and Fixed Price models? Time & Material (T&M):flexible, suitable for evolving requirements. The billing is done based on hours worked. Fixed Price (Waterfall)– requires a detailed scope upfront. Ideal for small or some mid-size projects with well-defined requirements. The billing is done based on the fixed price defined upfront. However any changes that go beyond the agreed scope will be estimated separately.
Who will manage my project? This depends on project needs and size, for most of the full-cycle projects these are: Business Analyst who performs the discovery phase and helps to define business goals, product goals and scope. UX Researcher and Designer who implements system prototypes and builds initial low fidelity or final high fidelity mock-ups that become the prototype of the future product. UI designer responsible for graphic design project System architect who is often the technical leader of the projects and takes key technical decisions regarding architecture, technologies, tools, etc. Backend developer (could be more than one and depends on the project size) Frontend developer (could be more than one and depends on the project size) QA Engineer to perform End-to-End tests DevOps engineer to support development in terms of infrastructure solutions Project manager who manages the project team and coordinates communication as well as reporting to Clients.
How do you ensure the quality of your work? Several levels of Quality assurance: Code review by Tech lead or Senior Develoepr and Merge requests Unit and integration tests performed during the development Load and performance testing for high-traffic platforms End-to-end Manual testing before launch.
What happens if bugs are found after the project is completed? We offer post-launch support or maintenance services including a Service Level Agreement (SLA)
Who will be my main point of contact during the project? You will have a dedicated Project Manager who coordinates the team and serves as your primary contact. Depending on the project, technical leads or other specialists might be also involved in meeting or communication.
Can you help me define my project’s requirements? Yes, through our discovery phase (Workshops), we analyze your business needs, conduct market research and define the project scope using the tailored set of tools (like Lean Canvas, MOST, SWOT, A3 Problem solving sheet, PESTEL, Competitor analysis, User journey mapping, BPMN, UML, etc)
Can you take over an existing project? Yes, we can audit, maintain, and improve existing systems, even if they were developed by another team. We have developers who are comfortable working with existing code or legacy systems and are adept at navigating such environments. As long as we offer a full range of project lifecycle services, including business analysis, UX prototyping and research, UI design, development, maintenance, and SLA, server infrastructure configuration and management, as well as digital marketing services, this enables us to jump into any project phase and holistically take care of it.
How do you handle project deadlines and timelines? We follow a structured project plan and use the proper methodologies based on the project’s nature. Regular status updates and sprint reviews ensure that timelines are met without compromising quality.
How do you handle intellectual property rights? Once the project is completed and payment is made, full ownership of the code, design, and deliverables is transferred to the client

Prepare for a meeting with a web development company

Hacker

What’s super-obvious, but often forgotten when attending a meeting with other experts? The information on who we truly are and what we specialize in. Everyone’s an expert at the meeting, but in his own area. Development specialists will not prepare an effective business strategy for your market sector, nor will you become an IT specialist fully aware of the best programming language or framework for the job. Do not exchange roles with someone else. Attend the meeting armed with the best knowledge you have – information on your business and Clients

IE Logo NS Logo

Pay attention to your comfort You will certainly be asked about the strategic elements of your business. At the same time, you will also probably have a lot of questions you would like to ask the web development company e.g. regarding their portfolio. To make it comfortable for both parties, you should sign an NDA before the meeting to protect your unique know-how

Notepad

Pause for a moment Often after signing the NDA, but before the first meeting, you may be asked to complete the prebriefing, which will allow the web development company to better understand your business and needs. The information you may be asked to provide – you will find a few major points below What sector is it supposed to operate in? What geographical market? Is platform supposed to be targeting B2C only or B2B as well? Stakeholder list – remember that your platform users include your Clients, employees responsible for updating your website, those employed in logistics, and so on. What business goals are to be accomplished by your platform? What competing companies are the highest threat to your business? What integrations will be necessary? What number of product groups do you expect (if you are eCommerce)? (an estimate) What reporting will be required?

American flag

Make sure you’re talking with the right people – ask as much as you can Remember that a web development company will be one of the core elements deciding on the perception of your business in the future. With this perspective, it should be easier to understand why it is worth asking a lot of questions and thoroughly investigating your choice before the contract is signed.

wabwalk

A list of useful questions to ask when dealing with a web development company The projects they worked on – it’s worth investigating whether the web development company knows anything at all about the natural environment of your business. Perhaps they have worked on projects for your competition or similar companies operating in different geographical regions. Ask about the biggest Clients, prizes, awards and references – read what you can find on the internet about the web development company. How the company is built and how are projects implemented – remember that developer projects may last from a few to over a dozen months. It is worth verifying if the way your company works is compatible with the web development company. Ask for details regarding the entire process of project work, from the moment the contract is signed, through prototyping, development, testing, production and maintenance. Ask how the project team is formed – you will receive information on the specialists that will become available to you and what expertise they bring to your project. The basis for trust is control – compare offers and the information you receive at the meeting Remember, you present your busienss products only from the best possible angle, and it’s highly probable that the web development company will be doing the same thing. Attend a few meetings with different web development company, compare their offers. Make an informed decision. If you are capable of starting a smaller “test” project with the company of your choice – do it. See how it goes.
