Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia about Pokémon to which anyone can contribute. Since its launch in February 2005, it has grown to become one of the largest Pokémon resources on the internet. As part of Bulbagarden, this ever-growing wiki is supported by the Bulbagarden Archives, Bulbanews, the Bulbagarden forums, and the Bulbagarden Discord. You're welcome to browse for a while, if you wish, or make an account to start editing pages.

Happy July, Trainers!

This month, we're honoring both beginnings and goodbyes through art and voice.

First of all, we're taking a moment to celebrate the #0001 of our hearts and yours -Bulbasaur! We asked the talented PoltArtGeist to draw some excellent new illustrations for the encyclopedia. The six delightful costumed Bulbasaur can be viewed on our refreshed Bulletin Board, where we literally signpost the kind of content we need your help with. Enjoy them while checking out our curated tasks to help the encyclopedia grow; if you like what you see, don't forget to give PoltArtGeist a follow!

At the same time, we're remembering someone whose voice helped define the world of Pokémon for so many. James Carter Cathcart, the original voice of Gary Oak and countless others, has sadly passed. His immense contributions to animation are clear from the credits on his page, and his legacy lives on in every Trainer who ever heard, "Smell ya later!"

Whether in joy or in sorrow, it's moments like these that bring us together as a community. Thanks for everything, and we'll see you again soon with some more updates!
